Key Responsibilities

Cloud Data Architecture & Strategy

  • Design and implement cloud-based data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes.

  • Define and execute cloud data architecture strategies aligned with business goals.

  • Select, integrate, and optimize Azure data services such as Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and analytics tools.

  • Ensure scalability, security, reliability, and cost efficiency of cloud data solutions.

Diagramming & Documentation

  • Create clear and comprehensive architecture diagrams, including data flow diagrams, ER diagrams, and system architecture diagrams.

  • Maintain detailed technical documentation covering data models, architecture decisions, and operational processes.

  • Communicate complex technical designs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Hands-on Implementation & Optimization

  • Actively participate in the hands-on development of cloud data pipelines and platforms.

  • Implement performance tuning and optimization strategies for data processing and storage.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to data pipelines, data quality, and data accessibility.

  • Ensure high availability and reliability of data systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering using distributed computing frameworks such as Spark, MapReduce, or Databricks.

  • Proven experience designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions on Microsoft Azure.

  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.

  • Proficiency with relational and non-relational database systems.

  • Advanced diagramming skills using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar platforms.
