Cloud Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cloud Engineer in Jersey City, NJ.

Responsibilities:
* Design and implement scalable, cloud-native applications on AWS
* Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
* Build front-end interfaces using modern frameworks like Angular or React
* Create and manage full-stack solutions integrating both front-end and back-end components
* Architect and deploy secure, resilient, and highly available enterprise applications
* Utilize AWS services including EC2, Lambda, CloudFormation, S3, IAM, KMS, EKS, CloudWatch, ElasticSearch, ElastiCache (Redis, Memcached), SQS, and SNS
* Manage Kubernetes/EKS deployments and operations
* Collaborate using Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA for issue tracking and documentation
* Conduct performance testing and ensure code quality using Cypress, Karate, SonarQube, and Veracode
* Participate in CI/CD processes using Jenkins and GitHub Enterprise

REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering or software development
* Experience with RESTful API design and documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger)
* Experience with Agile development practices and project tracking tools
* Hands-on experience with front-end development using Angular or React
* Proven expertise in AWS cloud platforms and services
* Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architecture
* Exposure to Kubernetes/EKS and container orchestration
* Knowledge of SDLC tools like Jenkins and GitHub Enterprise
* Strong proficiency in Java, Angular, and/or Python
* Commitment to secure coding practices and performance optimization

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
