Job Details

At a Media Company we are working with they are looking for a Cloud Engineer. You will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the cloud infrastructure and services that power our news platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure cloud-based solutions. Your expertise in cloud technologies will ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of our systems, enabling seamless access to our vast collection of news articles and related content.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure components, including compute, storage, networking, and security services, to support applications and services.
  2. Cloud Architecture Design: Collaborate with architects, developers, and system administrators to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet scalability, performance, and security requirements.
  3. Automation and Orchestration: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management tasks.
  4. Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, monitor system health, and optimize cloud resources to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
  5. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices, including access controls, data encryption, vulnerability management, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  6. Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve cloud infrastructure-related incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to minimize future occurrences.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Strong experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation for automated provisioning and management of cloud resources.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) or related technologies.
  • Experience with serverless computing and serverless frameworks (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of database technologies such as Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.
