The Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) program will be reengineering
business processes, performing data interface/integration services, implementing a single,
integrated system, and leveraging commercial software to conduct transportation, financial, and logistical operations for approximately 36,000 users.
GDIT is seeking a Cloud Engineer SME who researches, designs, develops, runs tests, and evaluates systems that support cloud implementation and integration with cloud service providers, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

The likely salary range for this position is $191,412 - $258,970. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

HOW a Cloud Engineer SME WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Define both the end-state and transitional cloud system architectures to include parallel operations with legacy systems which may be sunsetting at each phase.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education:
- Bachelors in information technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Required Experience:
- 12 years of related experience in progressive enterprise engineering and management experience.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience designing and defining cloud system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
- Experience building/managing servers in a cloud environment.
- Experience with cloud/server/network/storage implementation and support
- Experience maintaining up to date documentation and preparing documentation for infrastructure changes.
- Ability to design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems
- Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
- Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with customer best practices and guidance.
- Experience with interacting with clients, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on customer needs
- Ensuring recovery, supporting testing, and conducting O&M activities.
- Ensuring that performance, security, and other requirements are met.
- Supporting Security personnel in obtaining and maintaining ATO.
- Security Clearance Level: Active DOD Secret
