Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Financial Systems

Location: Wall Street, New York, NY (Hybrid/On-site)

Industry: Broker-Dealer / Trading Infrastructure

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage our hybrid cloud environment supporting high-performance trading and clearing systems. This role builds and maintains the backbone of our broker-dealer technology infrastructure, ensuring performance, security, and compliance across the environment.

Key Responsibilities
Architect, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure in Azure and AWS for trading, back-office, and clearing systems.
Build networking connectivity between trading systems, co-location servers, and cloud environments.
Maintain and co-manage virtualized servers used for market access, clearing, and regulatory reporting.
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, PowerShell, and CI/CD pipelines.
Manage security configurations, including firewalls, VPNs, and identity management (Azure AD / Entra ID).
Ensure infrastructure aligns with SEC/FINRA data governance, cybersecurity, and recordkeeping standards.
Partner with MSPs, trading technology teams, and compliance to ensure operational resilience.
Monitor system health, automate backups, and implement disaster recovery strategies.

Required Qualifications
4+ years hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS, virtualization, and hybrid-cloud architecture.
Experience supporting high-availability or low-latency systems (ideal in trading, fintech, or similarly regulated settings).
Strong understanding of broker-dealer or clearing house infrastructure, meaning experience supporting post-trade systems, market access, and secure connectivity to clearing or regulatory networks.
Proficiency in automation tools (PowerShell, Python, Terraform, or Ansible).
Solid grasp of networking, security, and identity management concepts.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to document and enforce operational standards.

Preferred
Certifications: Azure or AWS Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, Security+, CISSP, or CCSP.
Familiarity with trading connectivity, OMS/FIX gateways, or co-location environments.
Prior exposure to financial or regulated infrastructure environments (broker-dealer, clearing house, exchange, or fintech).
