Job Title: Cloud Ops/System Administrator

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role:
We re looking for a Systems Administrator with a solid technical foundation and a desire to grow into more advanced infrastructure and cloud responsibilities. This hybrid position, based in Pittsburgh, offers the chance to work onsite several days a week while enjoying the flexibility of remote work.

You ll play a key role in managing and supporting our on-premise systems, networks, and enterprise tools while contributing to longer-term cloud and modernization initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

Systems & Infrastructure

  • Administer and support on-premise and virtualized environments
  • Monitor and maintain system performance, uptime, and security
  • Manage updates, patching, and routine maintenance across servers and user devices
  • Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Office 365 administration
  • Help manage Office 365 and Microsoft Intune for endpoint configuration and device policies
  • Provide Tier 2 support to resolve escalated technical issues

Network & Data Center

  • Assist with network infrastructure support, including firewalls, switches, and wireless devices
  • Support physical hardware, cabling, and environmental monitoring in the data center
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems and configurations

Cloud & Modernization

  • Contribute to planning and implementing hybrid cloud environments (AWS or Azure)
  • Collaborate on infrastructure improvements that bridge on-premise and cloud platforms

Security & Compliance

  • Apply security best practices across systems and endpoints
  • Participate in vulnerability scans, patch audits, and remediation tracking
  • Help respond to and investigate basic security alerts and incidents

 

 

Collaboration & Growth

  • Work closely with IT leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure projects
  • Provide input on system design, process improvements, and technology upgrades
  • Stay current with new technologies and bring forward ideas to improve our environment

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 2 4 years of experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows Server environments and Office 365
  • Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Intune
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Solid understanding of core networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
  • Proven troubleshooting and analytical skills

Preferred:

  • Exposure to cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or similar)
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
  • Familiarity with data center operations and endpoint security tools
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Associate, or similar

Work Environment:

  • Must be located within 50 miles of Pittsburgh, PA for quick access to data center
  • Hybrid: 2 3 days onsite in Pittsburgh, with the flexibility to work remotely on other days
  • Occasional evening or weekend availability for scheduled maintenance or urgent issues
