Cloud System Administrator
Location: 21001 State Route 739, Raymond, OH 43067
Duration: 6 months contract
Job Responsibilities:
o Configure and manage AWS EC2 instances for optimal performance and security.
o Administer cloud user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
o Develop and maintain infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation templates.
o Perform Windows and Linux system administration, including patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
o Install, configure, and maintain CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) applications in cloud environments.
o Administer and maintain NetApp storage systems and enterprise file shares, ensuring availability, performance, and data integrity.
o Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services.
o Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and scalability of cloud resources.
Position Musts:
o Cloud Server Administration: Deep understanding of instance types, networking, storage, and security groups.
o Cloud User Administration: Experience managing IAM roles, policies, and federated access.
o Infrastructure-as-Code: Ability to write, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure-as-code templates.
o Windows & Linux OS Administration: Strong command-line skills, scripting, and OS-level troubleshooting.
o AWS Experience: Demonstrated success in managing AWS environments
Position Wants:
o Cloud Software Deployment & Maintenance: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies in cloud environments.
o HPC Job Troubleshooting: Understanding of high-performance computing environments, job schedulers (e.g., Slurm, PBS), and performance tuning.
o NetApp / Fileshare Administration: Experience managing NetApp ONTAP systems, CIFS/NFS shares, snapshots, and replication.
o CAE Application Experience: Familiarity with installation and configuration of engineering software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, etc.).
o System Automation: Ability to write playbooks and automate system configuration and updates for storage management
o Azure Experience: Experience with Microsoft Azure environment is a plus
