Overview

The Command and Control (C2) Modeling & Simulation Test Engineer will spearhead developmental test scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination for pioneering modeling and simulation tools focused on live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) training tools and capabilities.

This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage multiple modeling and simulation programs, ensuring technical and operational success.
  • Develop briefings and schedules for program status, reporting to senior management on acquisition tasks and milestones.
  • Craft and manage program timelines, ensuring adherence to deliverables and deadlines.
  • Participate in program meetings, strategize for development, and assist in resolving program challenges.
  • Maintain strong relationships with each modeling and simulation program to ensure comprehensive program knowledge.
  • Generate program test documentation, including briefings, plans, and reports.
  • Liaise regularly with program offices and test teams, facilitating effective communication and requirement delivery.
  • Engage in modeling and simulation training and test events, contributing to strategic planning efforts.
  • Support and collaborate with scheduling personnel at the program level.
  • Aid in developmental test and evaluation (DT&E), operational test (OT), force development evaluation (FDE), risk reduction testing (RRT), and test readiness certification.
  • Analyze test plans, metrics, and reports throughout the software development lifecycle, contributing to methods of testing and other critical test documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience, with expertise in project management and modeling and simulation across various programs.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within the facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
  • Must possess problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in modeling and simulation technicalities, with the aptitude to identify potential program challenges.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.
  • Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.
  • Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Rated expertise with constructive or virtual modeling and simulation experience.
  • Familiarity with radio and datalink architecture, specifically in LVC training contexts.
  • In-depth knowledge of Air Force C2 test methodologies and agile methodology principles.
  • Experience in DT&E acquisition program development.
  • Agile OA accelerated test cycle experience and relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network/Security+) a plus.

Working Conditions
  • Professional office environment.
  • Ability to work on-site at Eglin Airforce Base, FL.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
  • May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
  • May be asked to travel up to 25% for business or professional development purposes.
  • May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.

Pay Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr.
