Job Summary
The Business Analyst - Commercial Platforms is a key contributor to the design, optimization, and adoption of the nCino/Salesforce commercial loan origination system (LOS) within the bank. This role serves as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, and end-users, ensuring that system enhancements align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and user needs. Position will be responsible for gathering and refining requirements, analyzing system usage data, optimizing workflows, and leading cross-functional collaboration to drive the success of platform initiatives. The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in requirement validation, process improvement, change management, and user adoption strategies to enhance the bank's digital lending capabilities.

Job Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering & Story Refinement
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to document and validate business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into detailed user stories with acceptance criteria to support agile development cycles.
  • Analyze workflows and processes, identifying inefficiencies and proposing technology-driven improvements.
  • Escalate critical issues, decision points, or roadblocks to the Business Product Owner and leadership.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by developing test scripts, coordinating testing activities, and tracking issues to resolution.

Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Evaluate nCino/Salesforce adoption trends, user feedback, and system performance to identify gaps and areas for enhancement.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of implemented changes and recommend iterative improvements.
  • Prepare and present insightful reports on sprint progress, backlog status, adoption rates, and system performance metrics.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with the Product Owner to measure business impact.

Training, Support, & Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for nCino/Salesforce, providing business context during training and implementation.
  • Collaborate with the training and system admin teams to ensure user education materials are accurate and effective.
  • Work closely with nCino/Salesforce administrators to resolve issues and enhance system functionality.
  • Serve as a liaison between end users, technical teams, and leadership, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution.
  • Provide ongoing support to end-users, addressing questions and concerns to maximize adoption.

Process Optimization & Change Management
  • Partner with business leaders to reengineer processes and optimize workflows within the nCino/Salesforce environment.
  • Identify automation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual workarounds.
  • Assist in developing change management strategies, ensuring smooth transitions for system enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and data governance best practices.
  • Uses independent judgement and discretion to make decisions
  • Analyzes and resolves problems .

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:
  • Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum experience required: 6+ Years of system implementation in commercial banking with a focus on lending platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience with nCino or Salesforce-based financial systems.
  • Proven track record in requirement gathering, process improvement, and technology adoption.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial loan origination, credit workflows, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in large-scale banking environments with complex credit and loan servicing structures.
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies for project execution.
  • Background in system configuration, UAT testing, or low-code development within nCino or Salesforce.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP), Agile (CSM), or Salesforce/nCino Admin is a plus.

  • Agile & System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Understanding - Familiarity with Agile methodology, Jira, and iterative product development.
  • Change Management & Training Support - Experience with user adoption strategies and training development to support new technology rollouts.
  • Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution - Proactive approach to identifying challenges and implementing effective solutions.
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross functional insights. Aligns relationship building efforts with enterprise goals to accelerate performance and drive strategic results.
  • Builds trusted client relationships, whether internal or external, by identifying needs and delivering tailored solutions to enhance the overall client experience.
