Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in North Carolina.

The Digital Channel Product team is responsible for developing and delivering a full range of Treasury, Cash Management, and Payment products designed to meet the full spectrum of First Citizens and SVB client needs. Specifically, this role is responsible for the delivery of products within our Direct Channels, which is functionality for commercial clients across market segments and growth stages via APIs, file transmission, and SWIFT for Corporates.

The Product Manager (Product Owner) for Direct Channels will be a part of a team of strong product managers focused on managing the current portfolio of connectivity products, building new products, and commercializing and monetizing current and future technology assets of the bank. They will lead one or multiple cross-functional development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert on transaction information reporting and data products for bank accounts, loans, and card products.
  • Familiar with use cases around client bank integrations via file, SWIFT, and API Banking; be fully conversant in the market practices and trends, provide expertise to sales and customer facing groups.
  • Develop requirements, prioritize, manage roadmap, and communicate with stakeholders across Operations, Sales, Technology, Architecture, Design and other teams and partners.
  • Document user stories, groom product backlog through Agile routines, and work collaboratively with technology to support production releases to deliver enhancements.
  • Evolve agile product development process, routines, and ceremonies. Coach others about agile product development methodology.
  • Research trends in API Banking and file connectivity, to incorporate new capabilities to offer an efficient client and associate servicing experience.
  • Define product usage analytics to drive insights and strategic decision making.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of product management experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of product management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in banking, payments, or financial services industries
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience leading product / software development teams.
  • Financial services and/or commercial banking experience.
  • Industry experience with Online Banking, Cash Management, and/or Treasury Management products.
  • Experience with third party treasury/accounting applications, ERP systems, treasury workstations, and how these third parties integrate with banks.
  • Strong technical acumen, including past experience and familiarity with APIs, industry file formats such as ISO20022, NACHA, SWIFT MT, etc.
  • Experience with bank information reporting and/or payments origination.
  • Agile product development and methodology experience.
  • Financial services experience.
  • Digital product management and product ownership experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Jira/Confluence/Office suite experience.
  • Experience writing user stories, epics, features for agile engineering teams.
  • Experience developing business cases to support product enhancements and new product opportunities.
  • Ability to develop roadmap and product vision.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Data analysis experience.
  • Technical skills to understand complex architectural decisions.
