Job Description

We're looking for a Computer Operator to join our team and support critical mainframe operations. This is a remote position, but you must live in Wisconsin to be eligible. Your first few days will be on site in Madison, WI.
You'll start on first shift for training and then transition to your assigned shift. This role is essential for monitoring and managing batch jobs on the mainframe, ensuring smooth operations and resolving issues as they arise.
This is a long term, on-going
position, 2nd shift Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 1:30 - 10:30PM,
and a 12 hour, overnight shift on Saturday, 5:30PM - 6:30AM

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze complex job flows on MVS/OS/390 systems.
  • Resolve job abends and troubleshoot issues using JCL.
  • Perform scheduling requests and job submissions using Control-M.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical developers and production support.
  • Document issues using Tivoli and maintain job documentation.
  • Perform QA checks on new jobs to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Communicate professionally with programmers, customers, and team members.
  • Participate in meetings and collaborate across multiple environments (Acceptance & Production).
  • Train and mentor other staff as needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
