What You'll Do
Are you a skilled audiovisual (AV) professional who thrives in high-pressure environments and enjoys delivering flawless, white-glove service for meetings and events?
As a Conference Technology Specialist II, you'll play a key role in ensuring the seamless execution of conferences, depositions, video meetings, and large-scale events within our 60,000-square-foot Conference Center.
This role requires a balance of technical expertise and exceptional customer service. You'll partner closely with firm personnel and clients to anticipate needs, prepare setups, and troubleshoot issues with confidence and professionalism. Reporting to the Conference Technology Supervisor, you'll ensure that every interaction reflects the firm's commitment to excellence, discretion, and client satisfaction.

The schedule for this position is:
Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm PT
Conference Technology Support - Manage day-to-day operations of Conference Center technology, ensuring all systems are functional and maintained.
Meeting Setup & Execution - Prepare, configure, and support AV systems, video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams), sound systems, microphones, and presentation equipment for high-level meetings and events.
Client & Attorney Service - Deliver exceptional, white-glove customer service, maintaining professionalism and discretion while supporting attorneys, clients, and firm leadership.
Documentation & Maintenance - Assist with recordkeeping of system configurations, equipment changes, and incident reports; perform scheduled maintenance and vendor coordination.
Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving - Apply strong analytical reasoning to resolve AV, hardware, and software issues quickly and effectively while remaining calm under pressure.
Collaboration & Training - Partner with colleagues to ensure consistent service delivery; become proficient in the firm's Crestron program and other conference technologies.
Quality Assurance - Conduct daily system checks, test connections with external sites, and proactively ensure technology readiness before all meetings.

Compensation
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in the Bay Area. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. What You'll Bring
- Education & Certification - Current AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) credential (required, must be maintained during employment).
- Experience - Minimum of 5 years of AV experience in a conference center or similar high-demand environment.
- Technical Expertise - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint), Outlook 365, and unified communications platforms; solid PC troubleshooting skills; ability to read AV drawings for tier-one troubleshooting.
- Customer Service Excellence - Strong commitment to client satisfaction, with the ability to remain calm, professional, and service-oriented in high-pressure situations.
- Communication Skills - Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative mindset and confidence to lead when necessary.
- Problem-Solving & Decision-Making - Sound judgment, proactive issue resolution, and ability to assess when escalation is required.
- Flexibility & Adaptability - Willingness to adjust work hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet conference needs; ability to lift up to 30 pounds and move freely within the workspace.
