Job Description:

At Regions, the Configuration Management Analyst will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintaining configuration records within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) environment. This position will create, review, and analyze release and change data. This role will work closely with the Configuration Function Manager to coordinate interaction between engineering, testing, development, asset and change management teams to ensure appropriate changes are efficiently implemented.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Ensures the integrity and accuracy of Configuration Information (CI) records are withing Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
  • Populates database field to capture accurate data
  • Coordinates, facilitates, and assists with Configuration Audits
  • Supports coordination, tracking, planning, scheduling, and building components utilizing configuration management tools
  • Monitors and enforces desired configurations to promote operation efficiency
  • Preforms reviews, develops processes and documentations to ensure integrity of Configuration Records within the CMDB environment promoting healthy CM
  • Solves complex problems, by taking a broad perspective to identify solutions
  • May lead various projects

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in in Configuration Management, IT Service Management, Change Management disciplines or in a related field and five (5) years of relevant experience in Change/Release Management, CI/CD, automation, and DevOps
  • Or High School Diploma/GED and nine (9) years of relevant experience

Preferences
  • Certifications within the Configuration Management, IT Service Management, Change Management disciplines, or related field
  • Experience with IT Service Management tools, Visual Basic, PowerBI, and Structured Query Language (SQL)

Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to handle multi-stream requests, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively
  • Ability to learn additional systems as needed
  • Ability to utilize automation to enhance workflow and processes
  • Ability to work autonomously, with limited guidance
  • Experience with writing requirement documents and documenting processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of configuration management principles

Additional Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of configuration management process, principles and leading practices.
  • Strong Knowledge of ServiceNow Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB)
  • Creating and implementing configuration management strategies, processes, and procedures.
  • Overseeing the configuration management process and CMDB tool, ensuring CIs are tracked complete and correctly throughout their lifecycle.
  • Working with various teams, including IT, development, and operations, to ensure smooth integration of configuration management practices.
  • Providing training and support to staff on configuration management processes and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of ITIL or other relevant frameworks.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and under pressure.

This position is currently offsite; however associate must be within a reasonable driving distance to Birmingham AL, Atlanta GA, or Charlotte NC. Associates will work from their home primarily. They may be expected to go on site for meetings or other events as needed

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Median:
$126,050.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:
This job is not incentive eligible.
