Director of Compliance

Your role and responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Compliance, the CI Engineer drives improvements and reduces waste within R&D MONM for robust internal business processes, lean product development, standard operating procedures, and "design for" guidance (DFM&A, DFSS, VA/VE). This role helps drive our products to market faster, readily manufacturable with first-time quality, robust in the field. The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-Onsite You will be mainly accountable for: Become a certified subject matter expert and effective practitioner of Continuous Improvement, LEAN Product Development and Six Sigma. Oversee and advance the R&D Quality Operating System including Advanced Product Quality Planning and Plan/Do/Check/Act. Collaborate or Lead in Problem Solving and/or optimizing Product-Process interactions, using structured 6? methods such as DMAIC, 8D, A3's, RCA, Statistical Analysis, Designed Experiments. Document, and keep current, internal business protocol, visual work flows, and standard operating procedures. As necessary, conduct Workflow Analyses in both real and virtual methods, to define and standardize optimal processes.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree with minimum 5 years experience in a role including Project Management, Continuous Improvement, Quality and / or Engineering - required.
  • Preferred Experience Includes: Working in an industrial manufacturing environment, Prior participation in Kaizen Improvement Projects and Business Process Re-engineering that eliminated waste and improved material flow, Sound knowledge of concepts of LEAN - LEAN Product Development, LEAN Manufacturing, and/or LEAN Business Processes.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification, including knowledge concepts of Formal Problem Solving and a high level of Math proficiency in Statistics, Probability and ability to interpret prints and schematics.
  • Strong computer skills, MS Office Suite, Visio, CAD, SAP, Simulation Modeling and ability to create training materials, reports, and presentations.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
