Continuous Improvement Manager - Machining

Location: near O'Hare airport

Position Overview
The Continuous Improvement Manager - Machining will lead initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and quality within the machining processes. This role focuses on driving process improvements, optimizing performance metrics, and ensuring adherence to safety standards while reducing costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement projects utilizing Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Develop and monitor performance metrics to assess machining processes and quality control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of change management and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities within machining operations and implement strategies to achieve financial goals.
  • Provide training and support to staff on process improvement techniques and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a machining environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proven expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes and CNC machinery.
  • Experience with quality control principles and performance metrics analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
