A rapidly growing, founder/employee and venture capital backed organization with current consolidated revenues of $33 million and plans to expand to $40 50 million over the next year through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions. As the company continues to scale and centralize operations, they are seeking a hands-on Corporate Controller to join their leadership team in a growing office in Houston.

Job Description:

Position Summary
The Corporate Controller will partner closely with the CFO to oversee the company s accounting and finance functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple business units. This individual will play a key role in consolidating financials, managing the month-end close, preparing budgets and forecasts, and supporting tax compliance. The Controller will also focus on strengthening processes within the Atlanta operations and is expected to build and lead a small team of direct reports within 12 18 months as the company continues to expand and centralize accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.
Consolidate financial statements across multiple entities, including newly acquired businesses.
Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support a growing organization.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making.
Partner with external tax advisors to provide necessary information for federal, state, and local filings.
Collaborate with the CFO on due diligence, integration, and financial reporting related to acquisitions.
Provide financial insights and reporting to executive leadership, board members, and investors.
Build, mentor, and oversee a growing accounting team, starting with the Atlanta business unit.
Support the ongoing centralization of finance and accounting functions across the organization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA highly preferred.
7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including prior controller or assistant controller responsibilities.
Experience with multi-entity consolidations and acquisition integration required.
Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Background in a growth-oriented, VC/private equity backed, or acquisitive environment preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
Hands-on approach with the ability to balance detail orientation with big-picture strategic thinking
