Job Details

What You'll Do:
  • Lead Projects: Take ownership of complex automation and electrical control projects-driving design, development, and implementation of advanced equipment systems.
  • Innovate: Use Rockwell Automation, AutoCAD, and other modern engineering tools to bring machines and systems to life.
  • Deliver Results: Ensure smooth project handoffs, including training plant personnel, providing documentation, and making sure systems are fully operational.
  • Lead & Mentor: Guide and develop technicians, contractors, and junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Ensure Excellence: Drive compliance with all safety, legal, and regulatory standards while delivering efficient, reliable, and maintainable solutions.
  • Improve Continuously: Champion process improvement initiatives to optimize engineering performance and support long-term innovation.

What We're Looking For:
  • Strong technical skills with electrical and controls engineering tools (Rockwell Automation suites, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Proven ability to manage projects and lead cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), or ability to earn within 18 months
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Prior experience in machine controls engineering, preferably within the food or high-volume manufacturing industry
  • Expertise in HMI development, PLC/PAC programming, motion control, and machine vision
  • Experience managing direct reports and/or leading engineering teams
