If this sounds like an environment you would succeed in, we're looking for a Senior Control Engineer. You will be the NSSS Control System functional designer to develop and maintain the control system design for a plant specific BWR or PWR project, including functional requirements and diagrams, simulation model, and the design verification/analysis. Onsite plant support is performed to verify the control system installation and functionality.

You will report to the Manager, Global Operations Services in the Turbine Controls & Balance of Plant Systems Engineering group. This is a hybrid role based out of our Warrendale, PA facility. We are only able to consider candidates authorized to work in the United States. We do not offer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Your Day-to-Day:
Develop and maintain the control system design for each project.
Issue the testing guideline documentation and lead the customer witnessing testing.
Perform pre-SWIL (Software-In-Loop) activities to support software implementation, including working with the project hardware/software team members, and conduct SWIL testing with the customer using the simulation model, and perform full factory acceptance testing (FAT) proving system hardware and functionality through customer witness points.
Partner with other design engineering organizations, customer engineering groups, project management organizations, and suppliers.
Work directly with our customers during project execution as a control systems engineer.
Support the project from the planning stage through design and testing and field implementation (installation, onsite testing and commissioning).
Support innovation projects to develop the next generation of control system products.
Provide support for emergent issues for operating plants with digital upgrade systems.
Provide technical mentoring of the team members within the Turbine Controls & Balance of Plant Systems Engineering group.

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering with possible power plant experience (fossil or nuclear turbine-generator).
5 plus years of experience in control non -safety instrumentation and control systems.
Preferred experience in PWR and BWR nuclear power plants.
Prior onsite plant experience in plant operation, plant testing or plant startup.
There will about 10% travel to customer plant and supplier sites.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
