This role involves leading technical initiatives, coaching teams, and influencing the application of innovative technologies to support business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Execute creative software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting, with the ability to think beyond conventional approaches.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review/debug code written by others.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate recurring issues to improve operational stability of software applications and systems.
- Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for existing systems.
- Drive awareness and adoption of new and leading-edge technologies through communities of practice across Software Engineering.
- Plan, design, test, debug, and deploy software solutions for managing infrastructure, project management, capacity planning, and operational efficiencies.
- Analyze infrastructure problems, inefficiencies, process gaps, risks, and regulatory issues to engineer software or automation solutions.
- Collaborate with infrastructure engineers and architects to identify and implement operational improvements.
- Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in Core Java and advanced design techniques.
- Experience working across large-scale environments with multiple operating systems and infrastructures.
- Proficiency in Agile frameworks and the software development lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test-Driven Development, Cloud Development, resiliency, and security.
- Ability to stay updated on cutting-edge technologies and apply them to business needs.
- Cloud experience and familiarity with CICD pipelines.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to coach teams in technical skills.
