Cyber Security Engineer



Responsibilities



  • Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity solutions to secure enterprise, hybrid, and cloud-based environments supporting mission-critical federal systems.

  • Embed security-by-design principles into the development lifecycle of AI/ML enabled infrastructure products.

  • Partner with product managers, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure security features are integrated into product roadmaps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code deployments.

  • Develop cybersecurity components of product offerings, including threat modeling, identity and access management (IAM), Zero Trust, and secure APIs.

  • Integrate CyberAI-driven threat detection and anomaly detection engines into product architecture to improve resilience.

  • Conduct security testing of new product features, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, ensuring alignment with federal compliance requirements (NIST, FedRAMP, CMMC).

  • Contribute to the design of mission-focused dashboards and reporting capabilities, ensuring secure data integration with CX and FinOps frameworks.

  • Create and maintain security documentation and controls as part of product development deliverables (SSPs, ATO packages, DevSecOps playbooks).



Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field. 7+ years of cybersecurity experience with proven support of secure product development and delivery.

  • Experience embedding security into product lifecycle phases (concept, design, build, test, release, sustainment).

  • Hands-on experience with DevSecOps pipelines, container security (Docker/Kubernetes), and IaC security scanning.

  • Familiarity with federal compliance requirements and integration into product documentation (NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, CMMC).

  • Strong background in product-level SIEM integration, SOAR automation, and AIenhanced security solutions.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity or related field.

  • Certifications: Security+, CISSP, CCSP, CEH, CySA+, or cloud provider security certifications.

  • Demonstrated experience building federal-ready security products, including integrations with mission and CX tracking systems.

  • Experience working in product development teams using Agile/SAFe frameworks.

  • Knowledge of AI/ML-driven security product capabilities such as UEBA, XDR, and predictive analytics.
