Position Summary
Join a forward-thinking team to support power generation, water, and gas operations. The role involves managing and maintaining Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations while driving modernization and renewable energy integration. Requires 60% travel within Inland Empire/Redlands/Rosemead/Pomona area (mileage reimbursed).
Key Responsibilities
  • DCS Maintenance & Upgrades: Logic/design updates, patching, configuration, integration, and programming.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve complex DCS hardware/software issues.
  • System Enhancements: Recommend and implement improvements for reliability and performance.
  • Project Leadership: Plan, design, and execute new control system technology projects.
  • Compliance & Safety: Conduct risk assessments, ensure regulatory compliance, and support audits.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with internal teams and contractors; mentor junior engineers.
  • Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate engineering documentation and standards.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Improve lifecycle management and reduce downtime.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor s in Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years in engineering (operations, production, construction, or maintenance).
  • Valid Class C Driver s License and own vehicle (travel 60%).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with major DCS platforms: Ovation, GE Mark, Woodward, Rockwell.
  • Knowledge of Control/Electrical Engineering, Power Systems.
  • Familiarity with CEMS, RIGs, Water SCADA, BMS.
  • Experience with gas/steam turbines and aero-derivative turbines.
  • Skills in AI integration, project management, budgeting.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Customer-focused and adaptable to frequent travel.
