Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data and Reporting Analyst II to support the development of store environment insights across a nationwide retail network. This intermediate-level position is responsible for analyzing fixture dimensions, product types, and visual merchandising standards to create accurate capacity reporting. The role plays a vital part in ensuring product presentation aligns with strategic visual standards, thereby enhancing the customer experience and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain a catalog of unit capacity targets by fixture and product type through detailed analysis of fixture dimensions and category-specific standards
• Analyze fixture composition data to produce unit capacity reporting for both front-of-house and back-of-house environments
• Conduct ongoing quality assessments of fixture and unit capacity data to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in downstream reporting
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and scenario modeling to support key merchandising and operational decisions
• Identify opportunities for streamlining data workflows and translating complex datasets into user-friendly formats and actionable insights
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Statistics, or a related field (required)
• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in a data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence role
• Experience in a retail, merchandising, or store operations setting preferred
Special Requirements:
• None specified, though familiarity with retail analytics tools is an advantage
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data modeling
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying large datasets
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI (preferred)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
• Strong communication skills to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences
Additional Desired Characteristics:
• Experience working with visual merchandising data or product display standards
• Understanding of fixture planning and spatial layout in a retail environment
• Demonstrated ability to streamline and improve data-driven processes
Work Environment:
• Primarily remote work environment with flexibility in working hours
• Occasional collaboration with cross-functional teams across time zones may be required
• Travel may be minimal to none
