Job Details

Job Summary: The Data Analyst plays a critical role in supporting internal customers by managing data flows, resolving data-related issues, and ensuring the integrity of data across systems. This role involves working with external data vendors, transforming market data, and supporting internally developed applications. The analyst also contributes to database design, testing, and documentation, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical standards. Key Responsibilities: Document business requirements based on internal customer needs. Maintain application interface registration and support data attributes registration and source-to-target management (STTM). Resolve data issues promptly to avoid disruptions in business processes. Understand and test applications hosted in AWS environments. Communicate with internal teams to clarify requirements, answer business questions, and perform user acceptance testing (UAT). Analyze the flow of external market data (e.g., securities, derivatives prices, interest rates) into internal systems and its transformation into XML/JSON formats. Liaise with external data vendors to address issues related to data delivery, consistency, and precision. Identify and acquire relevant data from external sources using channels such as SFTP, HTTPS, and curl. Understand public data sources from Treasury, SEC, and Federal Reserve and methods of acquisition. Modify formulas to verify analytics based on market-driven changes in security values. Collaborate with product management, treasury, and capital markets teams to value derivatives and revise valuation models. Support internally developed applications and assist development and operations teams with infrastructure and interface troubleshooting. Gather user requirements for database changes and create specifications for ETL processes. Participate in functional design sessions and execute test scripts for database loads. Assist in the escalation and resolution of data-related issues. Required Qualifications: Expertise in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Ability to translate business requirements into database and ETL specifications. Proficiency in documenting business processes. Strong knowledge of SQL for database querying. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment. Familiarity with testing tools such as Mercury Quality Center or HP Quality Center. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 510 years of software development experience with projects of similar scope and complexity. Certifications (if any): Professional certifications in data analysis, software development, or related fields are preferred. Education: Bachelors Degree Certification: Data Analysis
