RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is looking for a Data Analyst for a contract to hire opportunity in Lenexa, KS. This role requires working across stakeholders, including IT, business analysts, and leadership teams, to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and actionable.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
* Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives
* Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to effectively communicate data findings to stakeholders
* Collaborate with leadership to define and implement analytics strategies aligned with business objectives
Data Quality and Management:
* Ensure data accuracy, quality, and integrity by implementing data validation and cleansing processes
* Maintain and update data management systems to ensure reliable and efficient data storage and retrieval
Cross-functional Collaboration:
* Partner with IT, business intelligence, and analytics teams to integrate data solutions into business processes and applications
* Work closely with stakeholders across departments to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights
Tools and Technologies:
* Utilize data analysis and modeling tools (e.g., MS Fabric, SQL, Python, R) to conduct thorough data analysis
* Employ data visualization platforms like Power BI to create clear and informative visualizations
Continuous Improvement:
* Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data analytics
* Recommend innovative solutions to improve system efficiency and performance
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Business Administration, or related field
* Proven experience (3+ years) in data analysis and interpretation
* Strong understanding of data analysis principles, statistical techniques, and data modeling
* Proficiency in data analysis and modeling tools (e.g., MS Fabric, SQL, Python, R)
* Proficiency in data visualization platforms like Power BI
* In-depth knowledge of relational database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business insights, both written and verbally
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to efficiently work with interdepartmental teams and other internal stakeholders
* Reflects the qualities of -Hungry, Humble, and Smart-
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree preferred
* Professional certification in data analysis (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional, Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Associate) is highly desirable
* Local to the Kansas City Metro Area
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
