Job Title: Data Analyst (This is W2 only position.)
Location: Remote
Pay Range: $65-70/hr on W2
Job Description:
Skilled data analyst that can identify issues, work with large data sets, and prescribe appropriate solutions. Experienced with data batch processing, Informatica/Spark (ETL), writing data specifications and data mapping, and performing data validation. Strong understanding of complex data pipelines with knowledge of banking transactions and foreign/domestic payments. Passionate about solving problems.
Work closely in a hands-on style with development team including addressing daily prioritization needs, providing real-time feedback and answering questions on an ongoing basis. Works with Product Management to set release dates, determine when sufficient value has been delivered to release to market, understand tradeoffs between schedule, scope and budget and communicates this information to the organization.
Preferred Skills/Experience
Subject matter expertise in the AML transaction monitoring or similar domain (e.g. Fraud, KYC, Payments)
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills including ability to collaborate with and empower teams
Skilled in performing data analysis and prescribing solutions to data problems.
Knowledge of payments, wires and data mapping.
Expert at coordinating and performing data testing and validation.
Knowledge of AML TM and regulatory expectations on data quality and controls.
Programming and writing queries on large data sets using SQL.
Highly technical with strong understanding of data transformation.
Designs and builds relational database models and defines data requirements to meet the business needs. Develops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of databases. Foster value creation from the use of the internal organization's data assets, as well as from the external data ecosystem. Source the value through envisioning data-enabled strategies as well as enabling all forms of business outcomes through analytics, data and analytics governance, and enterprise information policy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
? Creates design principles and prepares technical and infrastructure architecture deliverables that meet business requirements and customer needs.
? Participates in product design recommendations that span the entire infrastructure framework.
? Develops logical and physical database models. Writes scripts and commands for data manipulation.
? Plans and conducts database unit and systems tests; monitors results and takes corrective actions. Monitors and resolves database performance, capacity, data integrity, and replication issues.
? Serve as a central point of access to data across the organization
? Drives prioritization of data requests, considering organizational goals and strategic plan
? Assists with evaluation, participation in, and management of comparative databases to reduce duplication and ensure maximum return on investment
? Responsible for data governance, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data definitions across the organization when possible
? Sustains knowledge of current trends as it relates to data analytics
? Supports the gathering and interpretation of data; draws conclusions and formulates recommendations to assist in quality, safety and strategic initiatives
? Recognizes the strengths and weaknesses of various data sources; works with stakeholders to recommend utilization of specific data sources to most effectively capture desired information
? Communicate the benefits of the enterprise data architecture to various stakeholders in order to focus on meeting business and IT needs while assisting developers in the use of architecture
? Builds technical relationships with business, operations, and technical teams and leads design efforts that provides innovative solutions and complex architectures
