Job Description

Location: Remote - US
Duration: 12 Weeks
Target Start Date: May/June 2026

Join Allstate's Data, Discovery & Decision Science (D3) department for a 12-week summer internship where you'll gain hands-on experience solving real-world business challenges through data. D3 supports internal business units with a wide range of analytical, research, and data science projects. About the Role

As an Associate Data Analytics Engineer in Allstate's D3 department, you'll help build scalable data infrastructure and enable analytics across the enterprise. You'll work with data scientists, analysts, and business partners to ensure data is clean, accessible, and optimized for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, and cloud services.

  • Support data modeling and warehouse design (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).

  • Collaborate with analytics teams to deliver reliable datasets and dashboards.

  • Ensure data quality and documentation across analytics assets.

  • Contribute to reusable analytics components and templates.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Python.

  • Exposure to cloud platforms and data warehouse technologies.

  • Interest in enabling data-driven decision-making.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with dbt or similar transformation tools.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD and Git.

  • Understanding of business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau).

Compensation

  • The salary for this role is between $25-$33/hr. and will be determined based on the school year you are entering in 2026-2027
