Job Title: Data Architect
Job Type: Contract
Job Description:
Pay Range: $70hr - $73hr
- The Data Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing secure and scalable cloud-based data architectures.
- This role focuses on building data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses in Azure while aligning data solutions with business objectives.
- The position requires strong hands-on experience, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Mandatory education with no exceptions: B.Tech in Computer Science.
- Minimum of five years of hands-on data engineering experience using distributed computing technologies such as Spark, MapReduce, or Databricks.
- Proven experience designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions in Azure.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques.
- Proficiency with relational and non-relational database systems.
- Exceptional diagramming skills using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar platforms.
- Design and implement secure, scalable cloud-based data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Define and drive cloud data architecture strategies aligned with business goals.
- Select and integrate appropriate cloud data services including storage, databases, and analytics tools.
- Produce data flow diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams, and system architecture diagrams.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture designs and processes.
- Contribute hands-on to the implementation of cloud data solutions.
- Identify and implement performance optimization strategies for cloud data systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, data quality, and data accessibility.
- Advanced knowledge of Azure-specific data services such as Azure Data Lake and Databricks.
- Experience with big data technologies including Hadoop and Spark.
- Understanding of data security and governance principles.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and SQL.
