Job Details

The Senior Data Architect will play a pivotal role in advancing enterprise data architecture and analytics initiatives. This position is designed for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in data modeling, data architecture, and advanced analytics. The role focuses on designing and implementing robust data structures, developing scalable data platforms, and leveraging advanced analytics to drive informed decision-making.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with organizational goals and provide thought leadership on data modeling, governance, and analytics best practices. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data architectures, data models, data warehouses, and data lakes.
  • Lead advanced analytics initiatives to extract actionable insights that support business and operational decisions.
  • Develop optimized database and table designs for efficient data storage, access, and performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for analytics, data engineering, and architecture projects.
  • Ensure data accessibility, usability, security, and governance across platforms.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and big data analytics.
  • Support ETL design, data integration, APIs, and real-time streaming solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead teams, manage complex initiatives, and influence enterprise data strategy.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing (on-prem and cloud).
  • 10+ years of experience with business intelligence and big data solutions.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform), including deployment and data storage.
  • Proven leadership experience managing complex analytics and data architecture projects.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture principles, best practices, and governance.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database technologies.
  • Experience with ETL tools, data integration platforms, and APIs.
  • Experience with EHR integration, healthcare APIs, and real-time data streaming.
  • Hands-on experience designing cloud-based data architectures using Snowflake.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing and deploying big data applications.
  • Hands-on expertise in Python and/or Java/Scala.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-prem to cloud migrations.
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of information management principles, SDLC, and enterprise IT processes.
  • Consulting and facilitation skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Proactive leadership style with strong attention to detail.
  • Architecture or cloud certifications (TOGAF, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience with state eligibility systems.
