Summary:
The Data Architect will design and implement modern data architectures leveraging Azure and Microsoft Fabric. This role will focus on scalable data modeling, medallion architecture, metadata management, and data governance, ensuring robust and high-performing analytical ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data models supporting medallion architecture and modern data warehouses.

  • Architect solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and related Azure services.

  • Define metadata and data governance frameworks across enterprise systems.

  • Collaborate with data engineers and BI developers to ensure consistency across data layers.

  • Optimize performance, scalability, and security of data models.

Required Skills:

  • Expert in data modeling, data warehouse design, and medallion architecture.

  • Strong Azure Data Platform knowledge (Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks).

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.

  • Strong understanding of metadata management and data governance.

Preferred Skills / Certifications:

  • Azure Data Engineer Associate or Architect certification.

  • Experience with enterprise data governance tools (Purview, Collibra, Informatica).

  • Public sector Experience
