Job Title: Controls Data Center Engineer BMS/HVAC
Location: Dallas Fort Worth, TX
Duration: Contract
 
Role Overview
The Controls Data Center Engineer will be responsible for commissioning and validating Building Management Systems (BMS) and HVAC systems within mission-critical environments. The role requires strong hands-on expertise, system troubleshooting, and close collaboration with contractors and client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Commissioning of BMS and HVAC systems, including VAVs (Variable Air Volume) and RTUs (Rooftop Units).
  • Work with mission-critical infrastructure such as BMS, HVAC, EPMS, UPS, chillers, generators, etc.
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, validation, and ensure smooth project handover.
  • Collaborate with onsite teams, contractors, and customer representatives.
  • Document commissioning activities and prepare detailed test reports.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong hands-on experience in BMS and HVAC commissioning (with focus on VAVs and RTUs).
  • Exposure to PLC and SCADA programming (platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, etc. are acceptable).
  • Ability to read and interpret control schematics, IO lists, and functional specifications.
  • Prior experience in critical environments such as Pharma, Data Centers, or Power facilities preferred.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
