- Remove network cables as part of data center decommissioning
- Run, label, and stage power and networking cables
- DBD removal only (no scanning involved)
- Follow procedures for installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning equipment under guidance from DC Technician Leads
- Prepare, stage, and perform basic startups/shutdowns for hardware using written instructions and checklists
- Conduct physical audits of data center assets
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Main Function:
Monitor software systems to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor systems for equipment failure or performance errors
- Respond to error messages by troubleshooting or terminating programs
- Assist programmers and analysts in testing/debugging new programs
- Operate spreadsheet and other software to manipulate data and generate reports
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training preferred
- 5+ years of DC experience required
- Strong verbal/written communication, problem-solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
