Job Title: Level 4 Data Center Technician

Location: Milwaukee, WI (must be open to all local DC sites)
Travel: Up to 75% nationwide

About the Role

TEKsystems is hiring a Level 4 Data Center Technician to support large-scale GPU deployments in enterprise data center environments. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with 7+ years of dedicated data center experience (strong candidates with less experience will also be considered). You'll be part of a high-impact team focused on troubleshooting, cabling, and hardware operations across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Decommission network cables and perform physical audits of data center assets
  • Run, label, and stage power and networking cables
  • Remove DBD hardware (no scanning required)
  • Follow SOPs for hardware installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacement, and decommissioning
  • Prepare and execute basic hardware startups and shutdowns
  • Monitor systems for equipment failures or performance issues
  • Respond to error messages and assist in debugging new programs
  • Use software tools (e.g., spreadsheets) to manipulate data and generate reports

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, servers, and components
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% across U.S. data center sites

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training
  • Experience supporting GPU infrastructure in enterprise environments
  • Hands-on cabling and hardware installation experience
  • Exposure to data center monitoring tools and ticketing systems

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $50.00/hr.
