Description:
Data Engineer - Apache ETL Tools (Beam, Airflow, Spark, NiFi)
** Hybrid | Westlake, TX
Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Data Engineer to work on a 12-month + contract position in Westlake, TX. This position is hybrid onsite two weeks a month, and candidates must be local to the metro Dallas-Fort-Worth, TX area.
Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $75-$85/hr w-2
Responsibilities:
Participate in the development of a custom ETL tool using open-source Apache-based technologies
Design and maintain scalable data pipelines using Apache Hop, BEAM, Spark, and Airflow
Develop API integration solutions using Python and Java
Deploy and manage containerized applications on Kubernetes and public cloud infrastructure
Contribute to platform monitoring, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation using Terraform and Jenkins
Experience Requirements:
Extensive experience with Apache ETL frameworks and orchestration tools
Proficiency in Kubernetes deployment and cloud-native architectures (AWS or Azure)
Strong skills in Python and Java for building API and integration workflows
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CFT, ARM)
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team setting
Preferred Skills:
Certifications in AWS or Azure
Experience with Snaplogic or Informatica
Background in data movement and replication platforms
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
