Job Description:
Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Location: Wayzata, Minnesota (Hybrid - Onsite 3 days/week)

Overview:

We are seeking a Minnesota-based Senior Data Engineer to join our team and help design, build, and operate high-performance, data-centric solutions leveraging our enterprise big data platform. This role will be instrumental in enabling advanced analytics capabilities across the organization by developing scalable data pipelines, modeling data structures, and driving the adoption of modern data engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and implement robust data pipelines and transformations to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with functional data analytics teams to define data access pathways and optimize data usage.
  • Lead the development of prototypes and contribute to the evolution of core infrastructure and engineering standards.
  • Provide technical support throughout the solution lifecycle, ensuring sustainability and performance.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in data engineering and analytics.
  • Participate in architectural decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define solution requirements.
  • Perform data modeling and prepare datasets for use in analytics tools.
  • Drive innovation by exploring and integrating new technologies and methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering or software development.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with big data platforms and cloud-based technologies.
  • Proficiency in designing, coding, testing, and deploying data or software applications.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools and diverse data sources.
