Job Description

ECS is seeking a Data Engineer to work remotely .

Position Summary:

We're building advanced AI-driven cybersecurity solutions, and we are looking for a Data Engineer who can design powerful data pipelines, operationalize ML models, and jump into DevSecOps work when needed. This is a hands-on role where you'll collaborate with data scientists, cloud engineers, and cybersecurity teams to turn data into real-time intelligence.

What You'll Do
  • Data Engineering & AI
    • Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, SQS, CloudWatch, SageMaker) or equivalent Google Cloud Platform/Azure services.
    • Build and optimize data models, warehouses, and analytics layers (Redshift, Aurora, Presto, Trino).
    • Integrate REST APIs and streaming data sources.
    • Support ML pipelines and AI models for predictive security analytics.
    • Implement data governance, compliance, and security controls.
  • DevSecOps & Cloud Engineering
    • Manage IaC with Terraform (community + custom modules).
    • Automate deployments/configurations with Ansible.
    • Operate and deploy Kubernetes workloads (manifests, operators, Helm).
    • Maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, GitLab, or Jenkins).
    • Apply security-first principles in cloud architecture and automation.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $170,000

Required Skills

  • Cloud Expertise: 5+ years with AWS/Google Cloud Platform/Azure (must include S3, Lambda, SQS, CloudWatch, IAM; SageMaker a plus).
  • Programming: 3+ years with Python in data engineering/automation.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines.
  • Strong DevSecOps fundamentals: Git workflows, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Linux.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity basics and secure data handling.


Desired Skills

  • Cloud certifications (AWS/Google Cloud Platform/Azure).
  • Apache Spark, Beam, or Flink experience.
  • Docker + Kubernetes production deployments.
  • Machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, pandas).
