A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer to join its growing team. In this role, the Data Engineer will be responsible for working with all levels of technology, from backend data processing technologies (Spark R), Cloud computing technologies, and Azure Data Platform.


***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 2 days a week.***


Responsibilities:




  • Build end-to-end direct capabilities




  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture




  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources




  • Use analytics to capitalize on the data for making decisions and achieving better outcomes for the business




  • Derive insights to differentiate member and team member experiences




  • Analyze and define with product teams the data migration and data integration strategies




  • Apply experience in analytics, data visualization, and modeling to find solutions for a variety of business and technical problems




  • Query and analyze small and large data sets to discover patterns and deliver meaningful insights




  • Integrate source systems with information management solutions and target systems for automated migration processes




  • Create proof-of-concepts to demonstrate the viability of solutions under consideration




Qualifications:




  • 3+ years of work experience in IT related to Data Management and Data Migration activities




  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, and/or other Technology-related field




  • Strong experience with Cloud Services




  • Experience with any of the following Analytics and Information Management competencies: Data Management and Architecture, Performance Management, Information Delivery, and Advanced Analytics




  • Experience with the following from Microsoft Azure: ADLS Gen2, Blob Storage, SQL, Data Catalog, Data Factory, KeyVault, Azure AD, Azure SQL, Databricks




  • Experience with Python




  • Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns




  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills




Desired Skills:


2+ years of strong experience with Azure
