Title: Data Governance Lead (Collibra / Alation) | Hybrid USA

Locations: Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Dallas, Birmingham (AL), or Phoenix - Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We're seeking a Data Governance Lead to drive enterprise-level governance, metadata management, and data quality strategy for one of our premier consulting clients. You'll collaborate with business and technology leaders to ensure data is accurate, secure, and trusted across critical domains.

What You'll Do

  • Define and implement enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, and standards

  • Lead data quality management, including rule definition, metrics, and monitoring

  • Oversee metadata management, data lineage, and cataloging (Collibra or Alation)

  • Establish clear data ownership and stewardship across business units

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal data privacy standards (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)

  • Drive data issue management and remediation frameworks

  • Collaborate with data platform teams (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.) to embed governance controls

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Governance / Data Quality / Metadata Management

  • Strong hands-on expertise in Collibra or Alation (cataloging, workflows, lineage)

  • Experience defining governance operating models and business glossaries

  • Familiarity with cloud data ecosystems (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Bonus Skills

  • Regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) experience

  • Integration with BI and data management tools (Power BI, Informatica, Snowflake)

  • Prior experience in banking, insurance, or healthcare environments
