Job Details

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models for Lakehouse environments.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable models.
  • Optimize data structures for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency in AWS and Databricks.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and governance across the Lakehouse platform.
  • Work closely with domain experts to model data for automotive-specific use cases (e.g., vehicle lifecycle, warranty, service history, IoT telemetry).
  • Support data lineage, metadata management, and documentation efforts.
  • Participate in code reviews, model validation, and continuous improvement of data architecture.
Required Skills & Experience:
Technical Skills:
  • Strong experience in data modeling (star/snowflake schemas, normalized/denormalized models).
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks Lakehouse Platform (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, notebooks).
  • Proficiency in AWS data services: S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lake Formation.
  • Solid understanding of SQL for data manipulation and validation.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools and practices (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Purview).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
Domain Expertise:
  • Automotive industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of vehicle data, manufacturing processes, dealer networks, and customer analytics.
  • Experience working with IoT data, sensor telemetry, or connected vehicle platforms is a plus.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Agile/Scrum experience is a plus.
