Role Summary
Our client is seeking a motivated and talented mid-level Data Scientist (3 7 years of experience) to join our growing department. This role involves collaborating with senior data scientists, leaders, and business partners to design, implement, and deploy data science models and analytical solutions. The ideal candidate will generate insights into customer digital behavior, forecast mobile and web usage trends, assess customer sentiment, and recommend data-driven improvements for business and technology initiatives.
The Digital Data Science Department focuses on building predictive solutions for mobile applications and online business operations. The team develops advanced tools to help business units and app developers enhance user experiences, improve engagement, and optimize performance through data-driven insights.
Experience in financial services or banking products is a plus, as it supports developing predictive tools that improve customer financial management and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior data scientists and business leaders to design and implement predictive models and analytics solutions.
- Partner with business units to gather requirements and deliver tailored data science solutions.
- Develop and optimize code in Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling.
- Build and evaluate predictive models using traditional and machine learning techniques such as logistic regression, random forest, XGBoost, neural networks, NLP, clustering, ARIMA, and Prophet forecasting.
- Perform complex data interpretation, trend analysis, and model validation.
- Automate data processes and modeling workflows.
- Participate in team projects, initiatives, and knowledge sharing.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly through written reports and visual presentations.
Qualifications
Required:
- 3 7 years of professional experience in data science, statistics, or data analytics.
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, PySpark, or R for data manipulation, modeling, and analysis.
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and frameworks (e.g., XGBoost, neural networks, NLP, clustering).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Databricks, or Hadoop.
- Excellent communication and data storytelling skills.
- Bachelor s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
Desired:
- Master s degree in a quantitative discipline.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Azure DevOps (ADO) or JIRA.
- Technical writing and documentation experience.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
