Job Details

Job Title: Senior Database Architect & Analytics Lead (Cloud & Healthcare)

Duration: 8 months

Location: Austin, TX

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain enterprise relational databases, data warehouses, and multidimensional databases.
  • Develop database strategies for data acquisition, archival, recovery, and implementation.
  • Create and maintain logical and physical data models, database schemas, and optimized table designs.
  • Ensure enterprise data standards, metadata management, and centralized data registries are implemented and maintained.
  • Clean, manage, and optimize databases by maintaining data quality and removing obsolete data.
  • Support and lead advanced analytics initiatives, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data architecture and analytics strategies with organizational goals.
  • Provide technical leadership and best-practice guidance on data modeling, governance, and analytics.
  • Ensure all database administration tools, reports, and data interfaces comply with EIR accessibility standards and assistive technologies.
  • Support reporting, data access, and analytics platforms to ensure secure and efficient data delivery.

Required education and experience:

  • 10+ years of Experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing on-prem and cloud technologies
  • 10+ years of Experience with business intelligence and big data solutions.
  • 10+ years of Experience with healthcare data standards like FHIR, CCDA, and HL-7 would be a plus.
  • 10+ years of Proven experience in leading and managing advanced analytics projects.
  • 10+ years of Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform is required.
  • 10+ years of Experience in developing, deploying, and managing applications and data storage on these platforms.
  • 10+ years of Strong knowledge of data architecture principles and best practices.
  • 10+ years of Proficiency in SQL and other database technologies.
  • 10+ years of Knowledge of advanced analytics tools and strategies.
  • 10+ years of Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • 10+ years of Ability to lead teams and manage complex projects.
  • 10+ years of Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management, including understanding of cloud-based data storage options, cloud security considerations, and best practices for deploying applications in the cloud.
  • 10+ years of Develop and maintain enterprise data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support analytics and reporting.
  • 10+ years of Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and big data analytics in healthcare.
  • 10+ years of Work closely with data engineers, developers, and analysts to ensure seamless data accessibility and usability.
  • 10+ years of Experience with ETL tools, data integration platforms, and APIs.
  • 10+ years of Experience with EHR integration, APIs, and real-time streaming.
  • 10+ years of Experience in architecting and designing ETL pipelines using Informatica tools.
  • 10+ years of Design and model data for cloud-based data architecture solutions using Snowflake as the primary data platform.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • 10+ years of Experience in implementing and deploying big data applications
  • 8+ years of Must have hands-on expertise in Python and/or Java/Scala
  • 8+ years of Experience with structured Enterprise Architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premise-to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps
  • 8+ years of Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • 8+ years of Fundamental understanding of the Information Management principles, IT processes, SDLC, architecture and technologies adopted by an organization.
  • 8+ years of Consulting and Facilitation Skills.
  • 8+ years of Customer-focused ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • 8+ years of Proactive Leadership style; self-starter and strong attention to detail.
  • 3+ years of The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Cloud Solution Architecture on Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) Certification.
  • 3+ years of Experience in Texas or other state eligibility system
