Description

Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Database Developer to join our data engineering team. This role is ideal for a experienced detail oriented with deep expertise in SQL Server and Snowflake, a passion for building scalable data solutions, and a strong understanding of cloud-based architectures. You'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing data systems that support key business operations in a fast-paced financial services environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and integration solutions using SSIS, SSRS, and Visual Studio. Optimize database performance across large, complex transactional environments. Build and enhance ETL and data movement processes between on-premise and cloud platforms. Support Snowflake development, including SnowSQL, Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, and stored procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions. Identify opportunities for performance tuning and data architecture modernization. Document systems, processes, and data flows clearly and comprehensively. Provide off-hours production support on a rotational basis.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications Advanced expertise in SQL Server development, including SSIS, SSRS, and Visual Studio. Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including SnowSQL, Streams, Tasks, and data sharing. Proficiency in Python for scripting, transformation, and automation. Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms, with a focus on hybrid/cloud-native data architecture. Experience designing and implementing high-volume, reliable database solutions. Strong understanding of data governance, security, and enterprise data management best practices. Excellent communication and technical documentation skills. Experience with PostgreSQL is a plus. Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Database Developer. Proven track record of developing scalable, high-performing database systems.
