You will work full-time on site in Philadelphia, PA. The job description below is a dual grade job posting. Candidates who have a slightly lower level of experience, education, or qualifications may also be considered.

Job Summary:

You will design and enhance testing, data validation, and quality assurance processes for automated data -centric applications supporting highly complex business scenarios. You possess comprehensive operational knowledge across all testing phases and work independently on sophisticated quality assurance initiatives. You will direct low-level engineers, review their work and may perform as an individual contributor and/or lead data testing for complex systems. With your proficiency in testing and quality assurance, you'll handle critical projects with significant decision-making autonomy.

What You Will Do:

Data/ETL Test Design and Execution
Design and develop comprehensive data verification and validation for backend data-oriented systems and ETL processes using modern tools, languages, data processing frameworks, and databases approved for use at FRS as applicable.

Use scripting/programming languages with a modern IDE and source code management.

Develop automated solutions, using scheduling, CI/CD jobs, or application event triggers as available.

Work with structured and unstructured data from a variety of data stores, such as data lakes, relational database management systems, and data warehouses.

Technical Leadership
Investigate and implement technologies and frameworks that could contribute to process improvements.

Take the lead in improving best practices that benefit all team members performing data testing.

Recommend methods based on your experiences in testing and exploring new technologies.

Data Visualization Testing
Develop solutions for testing data visualizations using common visualization platforms.

Team Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing
Mentor less-experienced team members by providing direction and guidance. Participate and promote team discussions and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Participation and Compliance
Participate in Bank, department, or system projects of high to highest complexity.

Demonstrate Core Competency skills for grade and position.
Involved in the accomplishment of departmental and Bank wide quality initiatives.

Comply with all applicable information security policies, guidelines and practices.

  • Subject to minimal or no oversight in work performed; serves as mentor and coach and provides constructive feedback to less experienced staff; engage other stakeholders in collecting feedback and input to complete work activities.


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent significant experience in information technology and software testing is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience designing and developing tests for ETL and Data Warehouse solutions using a software development approach.
  • Minimum of 5 years of automation development experience with technologies required.
  • Product Specific Certifications as applicable are desired.


This posting is a dual grade job posting. Candidates who have a slightly lower level of experience, education, or qualifications may also be considered.
The salary grade for this position is: 16/15. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience and skills, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
