Solution IT Inc. is looking for Databricks Architect for one of its clients in Remote

Job Title: Databricks Architect

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Databricks Architect to design, implement, and optimize our enterprise data lake environment. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Databricks (on Azure or AWS), data engineering, and modern data architecture practices. You will lead the design of scalable data pipelines, governance frameworks, and performance-tuned storage solutions for analytical and operational workloads.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement scalable data lakes and data lakehouses using Databricks and cloud-native services (Azure Data Lake, AWS S3, Delta Lake).
  • Design ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and Databricks Workflows.
  • Establish data governance, security, and lineage practices aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Integrate multiple structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Optimize cost, performance, and reliability of data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and application teams to enable analytics and AI workloads.
  • Guide DevOps and platform teams on CI/CD for Databricks notebooks and workflows.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years in data engineering or data architecture.
  • 6+ years of Databricks experience (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows).
  • Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Experience with Azure Synapse / AWS Glue / Snowflake / Redshift a plus.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, partitioning, and storage optimization.
  • Deep understanding of security (IAM, RBAC, encryption) in cloud data environments.
  • Experience designing data ingestion from APIs, RDBMS, and streaming sources (Kafka, Event Hub, Kinesis).

Preferred Certifications

  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer / Architect
  • Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) or AWS Big Data Specialty

Work Site: Remote

Duration: 6-12 Months (extendable)

Expected Start Date: Immediate
