THE ROLE:
We are seeking a technical, hands-on engineer to lead Datacenter Server SoC post-silicon feature validation and enablement across AMD's cutting-edge server products. This role spans the entire stack-from silicon SoC level through BIOS, system firmware, and OS layers-ensuring robust functionality and performance.
You will collaborate closely with silicon, firmware, and platform design teams to develop and execute comprehensive validation plans during emulation and post-silicon bring-up, debug complex SoC feature issues, and maintain the validation infrastructure that powers AMD's next-generation server solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and execute feature enablement and validation test plans for SoC and system-level features across AMD Server products.
- Perform post-silicon validation of critical Server RAS (Reliability, Availability, Serviceability) features.
- Conduct system-level experiments, debug issues, and perform root cause analysis.
- Develop and maintain post-silicon validation infrastructure, including scripts, automation frameworks, hardware setups, and lab environments.
- Validate interactions between SoC features using advanced test infrastructure.
- Collaborate across AMD teams to enhance validation strategies, methodologies, and processes.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment, applying real-time problem-solving and critical thinking.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Strong understanding of PC architecture and microprocessor cores.
- Familiarity with modern x86 microprocessor and server platform architecture.
- Proven experience in validation methodology development and infrastructure design.
- Hands-on experience with test planning, test development, and silicon bring-up/debug.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and drive program success.
- Advanced debugging skills at both SoC and system levels.
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages.
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows server operating systems.
- Self-starter with excellent communication skills and minimal supervision requirements.
- Forward-thinking mindset focused on process improvement, code architecture, and fostering innovation.
- Strong verbal and written English communication.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of industry-standard interfaces: DDR, PCIe, CXL.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment (protocol analyzers, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes).
- Ability to self-organize and multitask effectively.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Electronics, or Computer Science.
- 4+ years of experience in SoC validation and debug.
