We are seeking a Deputy Program Manager for a project with the USDA. This position is W2 hourly with Roth Staffing (Ledgent Tech is a division of Roth) and no 3rd party candidates can be considered.


Position Summary


The Deputy Program Manager (DPM) will support the Program Manager in executing the USDA Disaster Relief Block Grant Program. The DPM will focus on operational coordination, compliance tracking, and multilingual applicant support. This role is ideal for a seasoned grant administrator with USDA experience and a collaborative leadership style.



Key Responsibilities



  1. Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the grant program.

  2. Support case managers and ensure consistent service delivery across applicant touchpoints

  3. Monitor compliance with USDA and FDACS guidelines.

  4. Coordinate multilingual support and ensure cultural competency in applicant communications

  5. Prepare reports and assist with data analysis for program evaluation

  6. Serve as acting PM during absences and represent the program in stakeholder meetings.



Qualifications



  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in grant administration, preferably USDA-related.

  2. Experience in disaster recovery or public assistance programs (e.g., FEMA PA).

  3. Multilingual proficiency preferred: Haitian Creole and Spanish.

  4. Strong organizational and communication skills.

  5. Ability to manage cross-functional teams and interface with government agencies.
