Job Details

Title: Desk Side Support Tech (DSS)

Location: Omaha, NE

Duration: 12 Months

Experience: 2-3 years IT experience.


The ideal candidate should have previous experience in imaging the machines through SCCM.

The candidate must be able to maintain a balance between high productivity and high quality to meet the needs of an extremely demanding and challenging client base.
The Tech should be able to build machine, co-ordinate with user for the laptop/desktop setup, ship the assets, work with user in configuring the profile.
In addition, the team manages small deployments, office moves, user desk moves, Annual power shutdowns, to ensure that end-user productivity is maintained through any desktop change activities that the DSS is responsible for while maintaining a level of guardianship of the production environment.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities Include (not limited to):
DSS Tech - Daily Operational Support.

Installation and moving of PC equipment as well as preparing equipment for disposal.

Software installation, OS upgrades , antivirus and windows patch updates.

Printer and other peripheral installation.

Asset management and inventory update.

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain software applications, OS, printers, peripherals & infrastructure.

Escalation from Helpdesk for OS and application support including in-house, 3rd party applications and market data applications.

Infrequently, the person will have to extend support after office hours (evenings, weekends) to repair systems or troubleshoot problems

Participate in outage escalation.

Provide vendor escort Floor Support.

Create and maintain support documentation.

Interacting with other support groups (local and global) within the firm across multiple platforms.

Assist Corporate Services with receiving IT equipment from the loading dock, update inventory.

Multimedia support/assistance in town hall setup or office event.

Qualifications:

Skills Required:

Technical:

Windows OS (Win10) / Windows Server OS (2016 / 2019).

Knowledge and experience with various server hardware models and vendors i.e. IBM, Dell, HP etc.
Configuration Manager (SCCM and/or SMS), Windows enterprise technologies , DFS, Active Directory.
Microsoft Office 2016 & Office 365 (including Project, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Skype).
PC Hardware, Laptop & Mobile devices.
Experience with Remote Access (including SecurID), Virtual PCs, Citrix & VPN.
Basic knowledge of various technologies.

Basic understanding of MAC support.
