Summary
The Deskside Support Technician provides in-person IT assistance to employees, ensuring the reliable performance of desktops, laptops, peripherals, and network-connected systems. This individual is responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, installing and configuring equipment, and delivering high-quality customer service. The role requires collaboration with other technology teams to maintain an efficient IT environment. Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends may be necessary to address urgent matters or project deadlines.

Summary
The Deskside Support Technician provides in-person IT assistance to employees, ensuring the reliable performance of desktops, laptops, peripherals, and network-connected systems. This individual is responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, installing and configuring equipment, and delivering high-quality customer service. The role requires collaboration with other technology teams to maintain an efficient IT environment. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver deskside support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices.
- Set up, configure, and maintain computers, applications, and related IT equipment.
- Support hardware/software rollouts and upgrades.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and issue resolutions accurately.
- Partner with IT colleagues to ensure smooth integration of applications and systems.
- Keep current with evolving technologies, industry standards, and best practices.
- Provide responsive, customer-focused support to all end-users with an emphasis on timely resolution.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field - or equivalent hands-on experience in IT support.
- Solid understanding of computer systems, hardware, and networks.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for technical issues across various platforms.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools and general IT support practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Well-organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Able to work both independently and within a team.
- Comfortable supporting employees at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to work onsite at the corporate office.
