RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a manufacturing client that is looking for an IT Desktop Engineer for a long-term, multi-year contract to provide onsite IT support at their facility in Wauwatosa, WI.
Summary:
The IT Desktop Engineer will provide Level 2 and 3 technical support, maintaining desktops, networks, and IT infrastructure for approximately 200-300 end users across multiple manufacturing facilities. This is a hands-on, onsite role supporting a 24/7 production environment. You will be responsible for troubleshooting complex IT issues, supporting local and regional projects, and ensuring business-critical systems run smoothly.

Responsibilities:
* Provide incident analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution for desktop, software, connectivity, and hardware issues
* Deliver Level 2/3 support for ~200-300 clients and workstations at assigned sites
* Support and maintain LAN, file servers, and plant infrastructure systems
* Perform PC imaging, software installs, and upgrades; manage hardware/peripheral support
* Provide local IT project support for global/regional initiatives (hardware/software deployments, surveys, upgrades)
* Travel (10-20%) to nearby facilities for IT support and maintenance
* Assist with training and knowledge-sharing for junior team members
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* 3-5+ years of experience supporting networked PCs in a Windows environment
* Strong knowledge of Windows 7/10, PC hardware, and Microsoft O365
* Experience with Cisco environments (switch configuration, VLANs preferred)
* Familiarity with Active Directory, IT ticketing systems, and desktop management tools
* Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
* Experience in a manufacturing or R&D facility a plus

Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
