Desktop Support Specialist - Lower Manhattan, NY (Onsite)

Location: Lower Manhattan, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday - Once a month in Stamford location

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician to provide Level 2 end-user support in a fast-paced, executive-heavy environment. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to support users both face-to-face and remotely.

Top Skills Required

  • 5+ years supporting Windows OS (7 & 10), hardware, software, printers, and mobile devices.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Office 365 (O365) support experience.
  • Proven break/fix troubleshooting experience; comfortable supporting users onsite and via VPN.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with executives and maintain a polished, professional demeanor.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Active Directory administration
  • Windows 10 deployment and upgrades
  • Experience with enterprise environments

Key Responsibilities

  • End-User Support (30%)
    • Respond promptly to support tickets and document resolutions.
    • Provide Level 2 support across regional locations.
    • Communicate IT updates to internal customers.
  • PC Setup & Maintenance (30%)
    • Deploy PCs for new hires using standard hardware and images.
    • Train employees on PC and networked equipment.
    • Perform hardware/software upgrades and troubleshoot issues.
    • Coordinate repairs and maintain hardware inventory.
  • Software Support (10%)
    • Assist with post-deployment issues and local software support.
    • Upgrade local server software as needed.
  • Projects & Collaboration (10%)
    • Participate in IT initiatives, testing, and audits.
    • Support office remodels or relocations.
  • File/Print Server Maintenance (5%)
    • Maintain backups and networked devices.
  • VoIP Phone Support (5%)
  • Legal Compliance Support (5%)

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be onsite 5 days per week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
