DevOps Architect

Job Title: DevOps Architect

Location: Santa Clara, CA (Onsite Role)

Looking someone with Devops lead with hands on experience in Architecture and Migration. Candidate experience will be XX to XX years not more than that

Top Level Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee SVN to GitHub Enterprise migration process
• Utilize SVN, GIT, GitHub Enterprise, AWS cloud, and DevOps fundamentals to optimize workflows
• Implement and maintain Gitlab for version control and collaboration purposes
• Proficient in stakeholder management and adept at conveying technical concepts effectively
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and project progress

Prerequisites:

SVN Environment Details:

• Access to existing SVN server and repositories
• Documentation of SVN server configuration and version
• Inventory of all SVN repositories including size, activity level, and ownership
• Knowledge of existing branching strategies and tagging conventions

Target GitHub Enterprise Environment:

• Determine GitHub Enterprise deployment option (cloud-based or on-premises)
• Access or permissions for GitHub Enterprise instance creation
• Defined user management approach (e.g., LDAP integration)

Infrastructure and Resources:

• Knowledge of chosen cloud provider and infrastructure resources for SVN migration
• Access to network and security configurations
• Allocation of sufficient compute and storage resources for migration

Project Management and Communication:

Designated points of contact for project communication and decision-making within Cloud Software Group

Establishment of communication channels and collaboration tools (e.g., project management platform)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• Proven experience as a DevOps Lead or Architect, preferably in a similar migration project
• Strong proficiency in SVN, GIT, GitHub Enterprise, AWS cloud, and DevOps principles
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Certification in relevant technologies is a plus
